It’s in the Bag – Live Now!

Join us virtually March 15–25 for an auction full of surprises, suspense, and secret treasures! Hosted by the Textile Museum of Canada, It’s in the Bag will celebrate bold, beautiful textiles and wonderful wines and spirits, with prizes valued from $15 to $500.

The Textile Museum of Canada is excited to announce It’s in the Bag, an online fundraising event featuring beautiful hand-made bags, mysterious prizes, and exceptional wines. This online live auction will generate revenue for the Museum. Help us sustain our ambitious program of digital events and workshops. 

The auction will begin at 12pm EST on March 15, and close at 9pm EST on March 25. While the auction is live, registered participants will be able to bid on the wide and wonderful series of hand-made bags fashioned by our talented team of volunteers. 

Once the auction has closed, those who placed the winning bid will receive the bag itself, a mystery bottle of wine, and a surprise gift! The values of these prizes range from $15 to $500, which means that some lucky bidders will walk away with incredible value.  

There’s more! Participants who place the first bid on a bag will also be entered into a sweepstake to win a special prize unlike any other in the auction: a private online block-printing workshop for up to six people and six bottles of wine.
