Beading Workshops with Jori Brennon
Join us for two beading workshops led by artist Jori Brennon!
Participants will work on a two-handed stitch technique and explore the healing benefits of beading and beadwork for both spirit and mind. Come away with a hands-on and meditative craft practice you can develop for self-care. All materials will be provided.
Jori Brennon is a proud 2-spirit artist and fashion designer from Treaty Six Territory (Frog Lake First Nation). Through his art he seeks to create representation for Indigenous artists in the mainstream. Jori merges art, fashion and storytelling in the form of bead work. Jori’s work has been featured alongside other Indigenous designers at New York Fashion Week and Indigenous Fashion Arts Toronto.
