Visiting from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Margaret Firlotte is a proud member of the Manitoba Métis Federation and her family names are Gaudry and Laferty. In this workshop, participants will be taught the foundational beadwork techniques that Firlotte relies upon in her art practice. Using the one-needle method, participants will create a five petal flower and learn the history of Métis beadwork.

Beadwork experience is not necessary for this workshop, however if you are already familiar with beading this may be more of a beading circle where participants share stories, experiences and knowledge.
