Sheridan Textiles Graduate Showcase

Meet the next generation of textiles artists and designers in this exhibition showcasing the work of Textiles graduates from the Honours Bachelor of Craft & Design Program at Sheridan College. This celebratory exhibition is the culmination of hard work and perseverance through several years of uncertainty and change. Threads of Meaning explores the diversity of techniques and approaches in textiles from functional objects to reflections on individual and cultural histories to material research to installation-based work.  

The Honours Bachelor of Craft & Design, Textiles program at Sheridan College in Oakville, ON, offers a dynamic 4-year bachelor’s degree in craft and design with a specialism in textiles. Our program is committed to teaching contemporary and traditional approaches to techniques and materials in textiles. Hands-on curriculum investigates methods in printing, dyeing, weaving, felting, paper-making, stitch, constructed textiles and digital design and technology. Students experience textiles through in-depth studio-based work, material and theoretical research, collaborative and interdisciplinary projects, internships, industry visits, visiting artist and field trips.
