Join us for a slow afternoon of collaging with Textiles with Sabrina Chu. Participants will create a collage using surface design techniques such as appliqué and embroidery. We’ll create vibrant assemblages combining fabric, yarn and stitches to create multi-layered, visually engaging pieces on the Textile Museum’s Drawstring Bags. The workshop will explore signature embroidery techniques, while designing with colour, patterning, texture and layering in mind, encouraging students to experiment and develop their own artistic style.
No previous experience is required; everyone will leave with a finished piece. All materials are provided.
