Sustainable Textile Teach-in: Upcycling Denim
Join Leah Sanchez, Education and Interpretation Coordinator at the Textile Museum and co-founder of Works-In-Progress collective in this upcycling workshop. Turn a pair of jeans into an apron in this upcycling workshop exploring the many projects you can make with denim.
PLEASE PREPARE THE FOLLOWING:
- Pair of jeans you are willing to cut up. Preferably straight cut and non-stretch jeans.
- Scissors (ideally fabric scissors, but any kind will do)
- Measuring tape
- A needle and thread or sewing machine
- While you do not need a Zoom account to participate, consider downloading the app on your device: zoom.us
All skill levels are welcome. Class size is limited, registration is required. Registration required. You will receive an email with the Zoom meeting access link prior to the event. Sustainable Teach-Ins are generously supported by the Chawkers Foundation.
