Join Learning Hub Assistant Allie Davis as you make a hair scrunchie together! If scrunchies aren’t your style, Allie will also have suggestions for other ways to upcycle fabric scraps into hair accessories.

This is a hand-sewing activity; no prior sewing experience or machine necessary!

– Sewing needle
– Sewing thread
– Fabric scissors
– Sewing pins

Your fabric scraps can be quilted together, but the final size should be at least 3 inches wide, and 22 inches long

– Hand-sewing: running stitch and back-stitch
– Patchwork quilting (optional)
