Crochet Workshop: Anatomy of a Top-Down Garment (Intermediate)

General: $50
Member: $40

Level up your crochet practice with our Intermediate/Advanced workshop: Anatomy of a Top-Down Garment — No Seams [Part 1], led by Daria McGuire.
.
This session dives deep into top-down garment construction—ideal for crocheters who already have core competencies (e.g., granny squares, basic yoke increases) and are ready to advance into structured garment-making.
.
You’ll explore:
  • Key raglan variations and their construction logic
  • The end-to-end workflow of a top-down, no-seam garment
  • Step 1 in detail: foundational stitches, yoke setup, and core increases (with guided practice)
  • How to assess yoke depth through rows, measurements, and analyzing a favorite garment
  • Materials: worsted (4) yarn + 5–5.5 mm hook

By the end, participants will have the technical footing to move into Part 2 (armhole + body shaping) and Part 3 (sleeves + neckband variations), at future workshops. Expect hands-on coaching, real-time troubleshooting, and targeted skill-building.

This workshop prioritizes low-waste approaches, functional design, and practical skill-building; perfect for anyone looking to elevate their gift presentation while reducing environmental impact.
