Emma Quin, Director & CEO, Textile Museum of Canada, announces departure from the Museum in April 2022, marking five years with the organization. The Search Committee of the Board of Trustees has secured the Executive Search services of Arts Consulting Group (ACG) to find our next Director & CEO. The Museum looks forward to appointing a new Director & CEO who will continue to broaden our audiences, connect with the local community, and deepen our relationships with arts and education communities.

“It has been an absolute pleasure to work with the Board of Trustees, staff and volunteers as we delivered invigorating programs, revamped operations and launched a refreshed brand and website. My years with the Museum have been a highlight of my career; as I step away to explore new opportunities, I look forward to observing its continued growth under new leadership.” Emma Quin, Director & CEO.

The new Director & CEO will provide visionary leadership for the Museum and develop and execute a new strategic plan that advances the Textile Museum’s mission, vision, values, and goals.

“The Board of Trustees greatly appreciates Emma’s excellent leadership and all the progress she enabled the Museum to achieve since joining the Museum in 2017.  The result is that Emma will be leaving the Museum with a strong base for continued growth and success in the future.” Judith Harris, Chair, Board of Trustees.

With consultants located in communities throughout North America, they are well-positioned to serve the Museum’s needs.

“With input from staff, board and key stakeholders, I am confident that Arts Consulting Group will be able to hire an excellent person to direct the Textile Museum of Canada and continue and expand the momentum built up by Emma.” Adrienne Hood, Chair, Search Committee.
