Sustainable Textile Teach-In: Improv Quilting
ONLINE PROGRAM

Join Education Coordinator Allie Davis to try improv quilting, a scrap-busting technique where you piece fabrics together to create a larger block. This block of fabric could be used to make a quilt, but also to make placemats, pencil bags, or even a patch for your favourite jeans!
You will need:
– Fabric scraps
– Sewing needles
– Thread
– Fabric Scissors
– Pins
You will learn:
– The basics of piecing and quilting by hand
– Hand-sewing techniques
– Ideas for colour coordination
– Suggested projects for your improv quilt blocks
All skill levels and ages are welcome – No prior experience necessary! Class size is limited; registration is required.
