Behind the Scenes Collection Tours: Philippine Textiles

Wednesday, June 10 & Thursday, June 11
1:00 PM - 1:45 PM
2:30 PM - 3:15PM
$40 | General
$30 | Textile Museum Members

Step inside the Textile Museum of Canada’s collection for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Philippine textiles.

Join us for a special series of Collection Tours led by Museum staff and artist Timothy Manalo, exploring garments and textiles from across the Philippines. Together, we’ll unpack the regional traditions, materials, symbols, and stories embedded in these works.

These small-group tours offer rare access to objects from the Museum’s holdings and expand on Timothy’s workshop “Weaving Philippine Textiles: Learning Through Making,” presented in partnership with The Contemporary Textile Studio and Co-op. Whether you’re joining from the workshop or simply curious about Philippine textile traditions, this is a unique opportunity to learn directly from both the collection and the artist.
