Fibre Processing & Spinning Demonstrations

Visit the Textile Museum and learn about fibre processing & spinning.

Demonstrations from 12:30-1:30pm and 3:30-4:30pm, in the Learning Hub on the second floor. Free with admission.

Tiana Atherton will demonstrate how wool is carded and prepared, along with using a drop-spindle and spinning wheel to create yarn!

Tiana is a textile artist with a wide range of experience including spinning, wet felting, weaving and piecing. A recent graduate of Concordia University in Fibres and Material Practices, she loves learning and talking about the technical and historical aspects of textile creation.
