You walk back to the stall of the jolly woman, watching for any sign of the guards who chased you. As you walk you hear snippets of people's conversations: "...how huge that temple is and they're making it even more grand...my uncle died during the last renovation you know, tripped on a loose facing stone and fell all the way down the back...worked like slaves we are, when we're not planting, tending and harvesting the milpa, nobles make us build all these monuments."

"Shhh, keep your voice down and get back to work! Extra guards today, because of the Ajaw's tribute. He'll drink cacao tonight!"
