When you come to the woman's food stall, you extend the tamale holder cloth and say, "Hello, I'm sorry I knocked over your bowls before. Can you please give me some tamales in this cloth for Yax?"
She looks at you and laughs, "Silly of you to run away. Did you think I would bite you, like the great balam (jaguar)? Here, take these, they are still hot!" She puts two tamales onto the cloth, folds it over, and pats you on the shoulder. As you walk away you here her excitedly shooing away the stray dogs eyeing her roasting turkeys.
