At this time, we are transitioning to a hybrid model of online and in-person programming. Stay tuned to our What’s On page, as well as our social media and newsletter to hear about new and upcoming programs.

Air Quality Improvements

We are excited to announce that funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Resilient Communities Grant has enabled us to improve the air quality in the Museum. Textile Museum of Canada App

In addition to reopening our physical space, we are also launching a new way to connect with us virtually–introducing the Textile Museum of Canada app!

Use our app to help with wayfinding at the Museum and access exhibition text and labels while maintaining social distancing with other visitors in the Galleries.

The Textile Museum of Canada App will be available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store as of September 15. It will also be accessible as a web app through an internet browser on your phone, tablet, or desktop.

Textile Learning Hub

We are excited to welcome you to our new Textile Learning Hub on the second floor! Our newly renovated space will be the new home for studio activities, our Library, our Life Cycle of a Textile display, and our reimagined Textile Reuse Program, featuring great deals on materials for makers.

New to the Museum, on Wednesday evenings from 5-7 pm, and Saturday afternoons from 2-5 pm, the studio space in the Learning Hub will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for drop-in activities. Access to the space outside of these times will be subject to availability.
