How can I book tickets, and will they be available onsite?
As we welcome our members and visitors back to the Museum, we are delighted to offer free admission until December 31, 2021. Advanced ticket reservations are highly encouraged.
You can book a ticket to visit the Museum here. At this time, we are asking all visitors to please book a ticket online before arriving at the Museum. Booking your ticket before your arrival helps us manage visitor capacity to make your time at the Museum safer for both you and our staff.

How can members access the Museum?
Members can access the Museum by booking a ticket online through our website. All members require a ticket reservation to visit the Museum. If you are having trouble booking your tickets, please contact our Membership Coordinator Caitlin Donnelly at email@example.com
What are the Museum’s hours of operation?
The Museum will be open 4 days a week – Wednesday to Saturday.
Our hours are:
Sunday to Tuesday – Closed
Wednesday – 11:30 am to 7 pm
Thursday to Saturday – 10 am to 5:30 pm
What exhibitions will be available?
Two brand new exhibitions will be on view: Jagdeep Rania: Chase and And other monuments. ᖃᓪᓗᓈᖅᑕᐃᑦ ᓯᑯᓯᓛᕐᒥᑦ Printed Textiles from Kinngait Studios will be open with extended exhibition dates.
What programming is available?
We are offering a rich variety of online programming such as workshops, artist talks and tours. We will be transitioning into hybrid online and in-person programming in October of 2021, as permitted by provincial COVID-19 guidelines. Please keep an eye on our What’s On page for our upcoming programs!
What can I bring to the Textile Learning Hub studio space?
At this time, due to the Museum’s conservation policies, no outside materials can come into the Textile Learning Hub space, our galleries or our Museum Shop. During our open studio hours on Wednesdays (5-7 pm) and Saturdays (2-5 pm), visitors can explore drop-in activities and use provided materials or items purchased from our Textile Reuse Program. Visitors are welcome to bring paper and pencil into our spaces and personal non-flash photography is permitted.
How can I access the Shop?
Our Museum Shop is available online 24/7 at shop.textilemuseum.ca.
We welcome visitors to our Museum Shop in person; however, we ask that you book an advanced ticket reservation through our website (free admission will be available between September 15 and December 31). Tickets will also be available to book on site, although space at the time of arrival is not guaranteed.
You can place an order for curbside pick-up via our online shop. If you are interested in an item that you don’t see online, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’d be happy to facilitate your order.
What about Reciprocal Admission or Free Admission Passes?
While the Museum remains free for all visitors (until December 31, 2021) there is no need to present your reciprocal admission eligibility, gift pass, or other free admission passes. Once we return to our regular paid admission model, we will be happy to honour all reciprocal admission, gift passes and other free admission passes (such as Toronto Public Library’s MAP program).
Will there be Group Tours?

Will you be offering School Visits?

Will the Museum be booking facility rentals?
At this time, the Museum will not be accepting any facility rental requests. Please continue to check our website for updated information.
Does the Museum have elevators?
The Museum has one small elevator, and we ask that visitors please leave the elevator available to those who need it. Currently, 2 people maximum are allowed in the elevator at a time.
How will your washrooms work?
Washrooms are available on the mezzanine and second floor.
Mezzanine: All-gender and single-use.
Second Floor: Two all-gender washrooms, each with an accessible stall for wheelchairs or scooters.
Please ask a staff member if you have any questions about our washroom policy.
Will there be a wheelchair available onsite?
Yes, we have one manual wheelchair available for visitor usage. Please reserve it ahead of time by emailing email@example.com or calling 416-599-5321 during opening hours (Wednesday 11:30 am to 7 pm, Thursday to Saturday – 10 am to 5:30 pm).
