Celebrate Black History Month with a guided visit of Eye of the Earth at the Textile Museum of Canada. Join us on Saturday February 15 from 4-5 pm or Wednesday, February 19 from 6-7 pm to immerse yourself in the artworks of Nigerian artist Samuel Nnorom, highlighting Ankara (African wax prints) and Okrika (secondhand garments) fabrics within his practice. Nnorom’s art is presented alongside Nigerian textiles from the Museum’s collection, creating a multi-faceted dialogue on migration, displacement, overconsumption, and interconnectedness.
